It is hard to believe that 2013 is drawing to a close and the holidays are almost upon us.
It certainly has been a busy and productive year for the Hunt team. Activity in both our construction and real estate services is booming. We ran two public educational events this year, both great successes. And a seasoned real estate veteran, Andy Dorman, joined our team recently.
On a personal level, 2013 is the year that my wife, Judy, had her hip replaced. What a blessing for her to be out of pain and to have her life back. She has been working hard in recovery, and we were finally able to travel again, see our son and daughter-in-law in California, as well as spend a little time in wine country.
To my astonishment, this is also the year that all my volunteer work with youngsters culminated in the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Boy Scouts of America, Suffolk County Council. I am so grateful to all of the people in my life who contributed generously to this fundraising event. And, of course, I am also thankful for the opportunity to spend so much time with kids, and to enjoy the friendships with amazing people along the way. My website, EagleCoach.org, has really taken off, with over 600 subscribers throughout the country. If there is a young man in your life who is trying to become an Eagle Scout, this is a good place for him to land!
Thanksgiving is a time to take stock of one’s blessings, and the richness of all my relationships is one of those special blessings. You are, of course, included in those special people in my life! As we close out this year, I wish you and your family a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving, and I look forward to working with you in the coming year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
