November 18, 2022 – Plainview, NY – Hunt Corporate Services, Inc. announced today that Goodyear Tire and Rubber has renewed their lease of a freestanding service center at 6400 Jericho Turnpike in Commack, NY. David G. Hunt of Hunt represented the landlord, the H&K Arlin Trust in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Gregg Carlin of CBRE Group, Inc.
“One of the more complicating factors in renewing this lease was that it was originally negotiated in 1966,” said Mr. Hunt. “A lease renewal is usually accomplished with an amendment to the lease. In this case, the original language was, in many cases, obsolete, and the lease itself had been amended many times. We recommended that a new lease document be prepared reflecting today’s standards and the parties agreed. As a result, Goodyear will be entering their 57th year of occupancy at this location!”
